AJ ROQUE
Owner & Director of League Operations
AJ Roque, born and raised in Matawan, NJ serves as multiple faces in the Football Industry. Co-Owner, General Manager and Head Coach of the Jersey Bearcats, while he continues his legacy at Kean University as their Quarterback Coach and now one of the new owners of the American Arena League.
AJ’s love for football comes from years in the game and after being labeled as the most decorated Quarterback at Kean University from 2004 - 2007. Roque then took his football career to the next level by playing Professional Arena/Indoor Football for four seasons from 2008 - 2011. These experiences, and many others, led him to the start of the 2022 rebirth of the American Arena League.
AJ still resides in New Jersey with his loving wife, where they are devoted parents to their beautiful teenage daughter and two wild toddlers, along with their fur-baby a blue eyed husky, Dakota.
KEVIN O'HANLON
AAL Commissioner
Kevin O’Hanlon brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the AAL. With 18 years of coaching experience and GM experience in the arena and indoor leagues. I am looking forward to working with the new ownership group and helping achieve their vision for the new AAL. I’m here to share with each organization my knowledge however needed to help them grow their professional organization.
JEFF LOEFFLER
AAL Head of Officials
Jeff Loeffler is entering his fourth season as an on-field official and brings a wealth of experience across professional, collegiate, and high school athletics. His professional officiating background includes work in the CIFL, AAL2, NAL, and the American Arena League, where he currently serves as the Referee and Crew Chief for the Wheeling Miners.
In addition to arena football, Jeff officiates NCAA football through the Tri-State Football Association, working games in the Mountain East Conference, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, and the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. He brings 18 years of experience officiating at the NCAA level.
At the high school level, Jeff has served as a referee and crew chief in the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference for 25 years in football, along with 19 years officiating high school basketball within the same conference.
Born and raised in St. Clairsville, Ohio, Jeff currently resides in Shadyside, Ohio. Outside of officiating, he is employed by the Village of Shadyside Police Department, where he serves as Assistant Chief of Police. His law enforcement career began in April 1995 as a part-time patrolman and has progressed through the ranks over nearly three decades of dedicated service.
DR. ANGELA ROQUE
AAL CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER & DIRECTOR OF LEAGUE ENTERTAINMENT
Dr. Angela Roque, DNP is a doctorate-prepared Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner and a diversified health, fitness, and sports-entertainment executive. A graduate of the University of South Alabama, she is the founder and CEO of CMXI Med Bar, a luxury wellness medical clinic headquartered in Pier Village with multiple satellite locations across New Jersey.
Dr. Roque brings a unique dual-leadership background in both medicine and sports entertainment. A former collegiate cheer and dance athlete at Kean University and an All-Star performer with World Cup and Just Cheer, she merged her passion for performance with professional sports through the creation of the Lady Bearcats Dance Team for the Jersey Bearcats Arena Football Team and the Titanettes Ice Girls for the New Jersey Titans Hockey Team. She also leads CMXI Next Productions, the entertainment division behind her professional dance initiatives.
Within the American Arena League (AAL / AAL2), Dr. Roque serves as Chief Medical Officer & Director of League Entertainment, overseeing league-wide entertainment operations, dancer programs, athlete wellness initiatives, and medical governance. Her multidisciplinary leadership continues to elevate the league’s game-day experience, player safety standards, and brand growth across multiple markets.
